Work includes reviewing proposed legislation, developing agency policy and guidance on topics including murals in state right-of-way, EV charging, and highway occupancy permits, and representing the Policy Office on interagency initiatives.

Policy research and legislative analysis for state senators, including analysis of the FY2024 budgets for the Departments of Education, Transportation, and Treasury. Developed a legislative proposal around harm reduction approaches to the xylazine/fentanyl combination. Also the year I discovered how much I enjoy reading proposed legislation, which was unexpected.

Surveyed and interviewed staff at 14 Metropolitan Planning Organizations, then wrote most of a white paper on the state of the practice of MPO long-range planning.
