The World/Inferno Friendship Society’s album release tour launches tomorrow. The band released their first new album in over five years on New Year’s Eve, with an official release date of January 17.
The South and East Coast tour runs January 10–25, hitting Fort Worth, Dallas, Austin, Houston, New Orleans, Orlando, Miami, Jacksonville, Athens, Atlanta, Chapel Hill, Richmond, Baltimore, and Philadelphia. I’m particularly excited about Miami, where I’ll be celebrating my 35th birthday, and about visiting Vancouver for the first time when we head west in February.
In February, the band tours the West Coast with Bridge City Sinners: Vancouver, Seattle, Tacoma, Portland, Sacramento, Oakland, Los Angeles, Long Beach, Mesa, Albuquerque, Denver, and Colorado Springs (February 6–17). There’s also a Super Bolus show with Gold Bolus Recordings label artists on February 1 at Muchmore’s in Brooklyn.
Also upcoming: a debut Marbleous duo improv tour with Margarethe Maierhofer-Lischka (February 25–March 1, Boston to DC), thingNY performances, and World/Inferno dates in Europe this summer.
