2019 has brought an explosion of new projects: a new piece with Paul Pinto, a new duo with Laura Dykes, and a new trio with Mitchel Ahern and Vanessa LeFevre. This week, a mini-tour of the Patriots opera is followed by the premiere of Wise and Young — a new duo with percussionist Peter Wise. Then I head to rural Minnesota for a 19-day residency at the New York Mills Cultural Center developing new solo work, followed by my first show in Minneapolis.
In early January, Paul Pinto and collaborators worked on a new piece at Camphill Soltane and Community Arts Phoenixville in eastern Pennsylvania. From January 26–February 7, bassist Laura Dykes and I toured the Southwest as Dykes and Young. We also premiered large ensemble pieces at the OME Festival in Phoenix. Recent shows included the electroacoustic trio The ALYance at XFest in Worcester MA and performances with World/Inferno.
Performances span March through October 2019, including Patriots opera dates, the Wise and Young premiere, World/Inferno in Providence, the Minnesota residency, a Minneapolis solo, and a two-month residency in Graz, Austria beginning September 1.
